Betty Frizzell clearly demonstrates how generational poverty and choices chain people to sad, angry or bitter lives. Yet there's hope, as Ms. Frizzell's personal story shows. I now understand why some of my own friends' childhood trauma has led them into victimization as adults. Thank you, Betty Frizzell for being wiling to open your heart and life to strangers, to increase understanding and compassion for those who make choices that affect their lives and the lives of others. It's a page turner about poverty, murder, generational abuse, unchecked mental health, the rural legal system, and a sister's/aunt's grit, love, and duty to/for her disfunctional family.
